While information technology plays a huge part in delivering on agility requested by business, the enterprise recognizes the risk that is associated with emerging technologies and regulatory requirements; challenging them to protect and control IT and business systems. The technical skills, knowledge and practices that ISACA’s Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA®) program promotes and evaluates are the building blocks to meeting these challenges. It is valued the worldwide standard for proven knowledge in Auditing, Control, Assurance and Information Security. The training is increasingly [re-] gaining interest due to the GRC- goals [Governance, Risk, Compliance] and the desire [demand] to ensure that the most significant current and emerging risks for the organization are identified and provide transparency on how they are managed. The CISA® certification is for those who are involved in information systems (IS) audit, control and information security. The CISA® is not a hands on training and participation is open to all that are involved in either one of these domains. Attendees that want to certify for the training must have a solid background in either the Audit or Information Technology [-security] domain.
After attending this training they will:
- Understand the role of Information Systems Auditing in the perspective of Corporate- and IT- Governance
- Understand the proper interaction of Information System Risk, Controls & IT- Audit
- Have learned how to provide audit services in accordance with IT audit standards to assist the organization with protecting and controlling information systems
- Have learned how to provide assurance that the necessary leadership and organizational structures and processes are in place to achieve objectives and to support the organization’s strategy
- Have learned how to provide assurance that the practices for the acquisition, development, testing, and implementation of information systems meet the organization’s strategies and objectives.
- Have learned how to provide assurance that the processes for information systems operations, maintenance and support meet the organization’s strategies and objectives.
- Have learned how to provide assurance that the organization’s security policies, standards, procedures and controls ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets
- Have learned how to ensure that current and evolving risks for the organization are identified and provide transparency on how these risks are being managed
